  • Yes, even if we are only removing a small item, we still need to cover time for labour, travel and costs of doing business. Our minimum charge is $90 plus gst.

  • YES! Recycling is an essential part of our process. We start by sorting items and separating garbage, metal, electronics, wood, cardboard, paper products, drink containers, empty paint cans, and donatable items. Each team member is trained to know exactly where to take all of your materials so they end up in the right place.

  • We love to donate! Your empty drink containers go to Nanaimo Loaves and Fishes, and Amanda works hard to find homes for items that are in good condition; she will even find homes for unwanted plants!

After years of donating within the community, our team has the training and experience to decide what we can donate within the community. Often, items that are stained, ripped, torn, or have odors will be disposed of. We don’t offer discounts for donateable items because it is not a guarantee that we will find a new home for the item, and it takes more time and effort to separate, haul, store, and donate than it does to dispose of items.

With permission from our lovely customers, we also sell certain items for reasonable prices on marketplace. This is how we keep our prices competitive and support our family during the slow winter season.

At the end of the day, we give back to our community in many ways, including supporting people and small local businesses, just like us!
